At Third Store we are fully stocked on Montana’s Black series and Gold series!!! As it gets colder some other brands just dont hold up. Hey, its raining out, let’s go bombing!Haven’t heard that often.. But in Vancouver, sometimes it needs to be said! Going painting in the rain ain’t so bad. The rain usually falls on an angle so on a building at least 2 walls will be dry and guess what, theres a bonus! It’s gonna stay up longer! Because we all know that in this city the rain can continue for days on end!! Does Rain Complicate Graffiti Removal and Graffiti Cleaning?Short answer: yes. When it rains, the task of cleaning or removing graffiti gets a little more complex and time-consuming – sometimes, it becomes simply impossible. Really? Why? er creates a layer between the surface to be treated and the product used to clean graffiti, reducing thegraffiti cleaning product’s efficiency. The way specialized products are engineered, they work best when they have time – a few minutes, usually – to cause a chemical reaction between the paint and the “soap”. This process is usually completed with a specialized brushing technique at a specific point in time. To complicate things further, rainwater, when it falls on the surface being treated, will often neutralize the cleaning solution, stopping the process before it can be completed.

ART IN THE STREETS…. Location: Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) www.moca.org Art in the Streets is the first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art. Curated by MOCA Director Jeffrey Deitch and Associate Curators Roger Gastman and Aaron Rose, the exhibition will trace the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today, concentrating on key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Sao Paulo, where a unique visual language or attitude has evolved. The exhibition will feature paintings, mixed media sculptures, and interactive installations by 50 of the most dynamic artists and will emphasize Los Angeles’s role in the evolution of graffiti and street art, with special sections dedicated to seminal local movements such as cholo graffiti and Dogtown skateboard culture. A comprehensive timeline illustrated with artwork, photos, video, and ephemera will provide a historical context for the work.
